Roles and Responsibilities:-


1. To check and approve technical specifications (Mechanical & Chemical Properties) of material coming from the supplier.


2 Third Party Inspection of Raw material for issuance or correct raw material for manufacturing.


3 Develop third-party vendors for testing various raw materials such as plastic, rubber, aluminum, copper brass, etc.


4 Inform the supplier if in case of any quality issue in the raw material and get the issue analyzed with the supplier with help of the buyer.


6 Develop and suggest raw material and bought out parts raw material as per final product requirement.


7 To perform a microscopic examination for checking various material layer percentages and ensure the same as per material TC.


8 Conducting microscopic, X-ray diffraction, and spectrographic studies of metal and alloys.


o Liaising with other teams such as manufacturing, and engineering to improve process efficiencies.


10 Testing metals in use, recording data, and advising on performance and shortcomings.


11 Must know about Elemental Analysis - through Spectrometers, radiography, Millipore testing, AES, SEM, and all mechanical testing according to the relevant standards. IATF 16949:2016: Ensure updated SOP/specifications are available at the workplace and maintain records as per laid down procedures. train workforce to achieve the targets as well as inform concerns about nonconformity for actions. Must be aware of Various international standards (e.g. DIN, IS, JIS, SAE, ASTM).


12 Should have handled or can handle a complete metallurgy lab. 21 To be part of the CFT team to analyze customer complaints related to product material. Prepare root cause and action plan related to product raw material. 22 Monitor and update customer complaints regularly, review with concern team periodically. 23 Knowledge of quality tools like MSA, SPC, PPAP, and APQP. Prepare relevant documents as per customer requirements. 24 Aware of various compliance like ROHS and Conflict Minerals
